1. How do missing assignments display in i-GB whenever they are entered as missing in my Google Classroom™? If the Student doesn't have a score for an Assignment in Google Classroom, then it will show a blank score in i-GB. You can notate the Missing Assignment in i-GB with 'I' (Incomplete), 'N/A' and/or add a comment. To view documentation on How to Add a Score Comment, click here.
2. How often do I have to sync Google Classroom to i-GB? We recommend you perform the Sync Google Classroom process at least once a day at the beginning of each Session to ensure your Student Roster stays up to date as schedule changes, adds/drops are taking place. After that time, we recommend you perform the Sync Google Classroom process once a week. If you receive any errors when you perform a sync, please contact your SI Administrator.
3. Do suspended Students show up in Google Classroom? Yes. Suspended students are not removed from your Section in i-GB but are rather indicated as such. You can still enter scores for Suspended students, therefore the assigned Assignments will also sync with Google Classroom. Note: Because a suspended Student cannot have Attendance entered for them, the suspended Student will not display for you to enter attendance for them.
4. If I have a Student transfer from my 3rd hour to my 5th hour, will they show up in my 5th hour Google Classroom class? Yes. However, you must first use the Copy Student Scores tool to move the Student's scores from the Student's original Section to the Student's new Section. After you copy the Student's Scores from the original Section to the new Section, the Student will not display in their new Google Classroom class until you go through the Sync Google Classroom process. However, Google Classroom will not remove the Student from the original Google Classroom class. You must remove the Student from the original Google Classroom class. 5. If a Student is dropped from my Section and added to another Instructor's Section, will they show up in the new Instructor's Google Classroom class? Yes. Once the new Instructor syncs i-GB with Google Classroom the Student will display in the new Instructor's Google Classroom class. If they do not perform the sync process or they receive an error when syncing, that student will not show in their Google Classroom class.
6. How do I add a new Assignment to Google Classroom? Verify you have synced the Section to Google Classroom to create a Google Classroom class. 7. Why can't I see the Add to Google Classroom (AGC) button next to an Assignment on the Record Scores screen? You must first sync the Section to create a Google Classroom class. 8. Why can't I see Add to Google Classroom in my Assignments Grid? You must first sync the Section to Google Classroom to create a Google Classroom class. Then, you must create and save the Assignment to i-GB. To view documentation on How to Add an Assignment to a Lesson Plan, click here.
9. Am I able to separate my Assignments into Semesters or Quarters in my Google Classroom? No. Google Classroom does not have this feature. However, you can request this feature by going to their Help Screen and click 'Request Feature.'
10. How do I handle this syncing error: COULD NOT REMOVE STUDENT (for any reason)? i-GB cannot remove Students from a Google Classroom class. If a Student is dropped from a Section in i-GB, and is added to another Section, the Instructor will need to manually remove the Student from the Google Classroom class. However, when you sync i-GB to Google Classroom, the Student will be in their new Google Classroom class. 11. How do I handle this syncing error: COURSE NOT MODIFIABLE? This means the Google Classroom class that was created when i-GB and Google were originally synced has now been archived in Google Classroom.
